Frits Zernike has lived in Beacon since 2005.  Through his involvement with Beacon Deserves Better, he helped thwart the MTAs plans for a Beacon TOD. Frits holds a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law and ran the St Clair Ice Cream Co., a successful small business with a national market, for over 10 years. Frits has been endorsed by the Working Families Party, the Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation, and the New York State Nurses Association.

Keltie McCormick

Running for Dutchess County Legislator (District 17 - Fishkill)

Keltie McCormick has lived in the Hudson Valley for over 40 years.  Keltie has been a nurse for the past 25 years.  She is a member of National Nurses United (NNU) and the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA).  She is endorsed by Dutchess County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO.  Keltie is the mother of 2 grown sons and a proud grandmother who worries about the affordability of Dutchess County for families.  Issues include: modernizing Dutchess County government practices with proven ideas from the NYS Association of Counties that save money and are good for people and businesses, like Community Power Aggregation.
